Students & Graduates

We believe in nurturing talent. We offer students a safe, stimulating and professional work environment, the opportunity to complete your mandatory professional placements, professional supervision, guidance and support.

You’ll be working in a supportive environment with a friendly and inclusive team, providing support to residents so they can live the best life possible. The relationships you’ll form are special and rewarding.

And if you should join us permanently after you complete your qualifications, our professional development program allows you to further your qualifications with flexible work options and mentoring.

For TAFE Students

If you’re studying for your Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing), Certificate IV in Ageing Support or Certificate IV in Leisure & Health, we offer the opportunity for a student placement in one of our homes, or you may be part way through your qualification and looking for employment while studying. Our student placement program provides you with employment in the industry where you can develop your skills while you complete your certification.

For Recreation Therapy students, we are able to offer you a placement across our network of homes and you will be supported on site by the Lifestyle Coordinator and mentored by the Diversional Therapy Advisor in that region.  This provides a unique opportunity to be supported by a tertiary qualified professional in your field of study.  You will be exposed to and be able to experience what best practice service provision is within the aged care sector.

For University Students

For 2nd and 3rd year nursing students, we offer you the opportunity to work as a carer in the industry in one of our homes. This provides you with employment in the industry where you can develop your skills while you complete your studies. You’ll get to practice and develop your skills in a supportive environment with a friendly and inclusive team and gain valuable insights into the clinical aspects of aged care. We also offer the possibility of practical placements while you’re studying.

For School Students

For school students aged 15 years or older, school-based Apprenticeships and Traineeships provide you with valuable employment skills, hands-on industry experience and a nationally recognised qualification, while still completing secondary school qualifications. They’re also a great way to be paid for work while you learn and earn a qualification. You’ll gain practical experience and learn skills employers are looking for, which will give you a big advantage in the job market.
