Here's what we've been working on:
Strengthening our Sustainability Credentials
Sustainability Advantage: This year, we were recognised as a Silver Partner in the NSW Government's Sustainability Advantage Program. This partnership supports our ongoing transformation and helps embed environmental leadership into everything we do - from the way we build and maintain our sites to how we support our teams and communities.
Net Zero Planning Grant: We successfully secured a $30,000 Net Zero Planning Grant to guide our next steps. With expert support from Environmental Social Governance (ESG) consultants 2XE, we’ve kicked off a deep dive into our emissions data, systems and operations. Net zero simply means reducing the greenhouse gases we produce - like energy, fuel, and waste - until we’re putting as little into the atmosphere as possible and balancing out the rest.
This is about building capability, strengthening our data, and identifying real-world actions we can take to reduce our environmental impact. Our first milestone report has been finalised and shapes a clear roadmap for what comes next.
We’re also looking at practical training and development so everyone, in every role, can play a part. Sustainability isn’t just one team’s job, it’s something we all share.
EV Grant & Greener Transport: We’ve secured funding to support the installation of our first EV charging station at Epping Head Office, with works underway and plans to make it available to staff and tenants. The funding also contributes to the purchase of two electric vehicles, marking a practical step toward lower-emissions transport. From here on, any additions to our fleet will be hybrid or fully electric.
Why does this matter? Because transport is one of the biggest sources of carbon emissions. By switching to cleaner vehicles, we’re cutting pollution, reducing our reliance on fossil fuels, and helping protect the health of our planet and our people.
It’s one of the many ways we’re turning our sustainability commitments into real, visible action.
