Celebrating Excellence: Award Wins Across Our Services

Over the past few months, we’ve seen our community celebrated for their incredible work - earning awards that highlight the care, commitment, and compassion they bring to aged care every day.

At St Joseph’s Tweed Heads, physiotherapist Jamie Wotherspoon achieved a remarkable double win - taking out the Consumer Focus and Care Category of Ageing Australia’s You Are Ace Awards as well as being named Outstanding Employee at the Tweed Business Awards.

Jamie now progresses as a regional finalist in the Northern Rivers Business Awards announced next month.

“This award reminds us how much life there is in aged care homes. We’re not just supporting people, we’re empowering them to thrive,” Jamie said.

Also from Tweed Heads, our Customer Service Team received a Highly Commended mention in the Excellence in Customer Service category, while Amanda Cleary Schofield, Area Manager for the Riverina Region, was a proud finalist in the You Are Ace Awards.

In the Riverina, Keryn Date, Deputy Residential Manager at Karinya, was honoured with the Outstanding Employee Award from the Corowa Chamber of Commerce. Keryn now qualifies as a regional finalist in the Business NSW - Riverina Murray Awards.

“For me the best part about working in aged care is the residents, the joy they bring you, the knowledge and wisdom they give you. I feel so honoured to have been nominated, let alone win, and I feel without the amazing staff at Karinya I wouldn’t be able to do my job as well as I can, so I am very thankful to the team.” 

Meanwhile, Marian Residential Care at North Parramatta has been named a finalist in three prestigious awards: the Western Sydney Awards for Business Excellence, the Property Council of Australia Awards, and the UDIA NSW Awards for Excellence - a testament to the team’s commitment to quality and innovation.

These achievements reflect the passion, dedication, and excellence of our people.
