Congratulations to our team for being named a finalist in the prestigious RM Advancer Awards in the Workers’ Compensation and Public Liability category.
This honour reflects the substantial initiatives we’ve implemented to strengthen safety, wellbeing, and accountability across our workforce.
Now in its 17th year, the RM Advancer Awards recognise organisations across Australia that demonstrate outstanding progress in risk management. Our nomination showcases the remarkable transformation in safety, wellbeing, and organisational culture driven by Heidi McCowan, Maree McAleer, and Marie Gaton.
Through their leadership and vision, new systems and frameworks were introduced that not only elevated safety practices but also empowered teams to take shared responsibility for risk.
The results speak for themselves: workers’ compensation costs reduced by 13.1% below industry benchmarks, claims cost development cut by 15%, and safety performance consistently exceeding KPI thresholds with an impressive 95% average over the past six months.
These outcomes highlight not just procedural improvements, but a genuine cultural shift led by the dedication and commitment of Heidi, Maree and Marie.
Alethea Lee, Chief People, Property & Legal Officer said: “While we didn’t win, to be in the same company as the other finalists in the category of Workers’ Compensation and Public Liability was a huge feat in itself, as the initiatives they had each implemented to increase the safety and wellbeing of their workforce were so impressive.”
Congratulations once again to the entire team, and especially to Heidi, Maree and Marie, whose dedication, expertise and unwavering drive made this achievement possible.
Your work has set a new benchmark for excellence across our organisation and beyond.
