Leadership update

As the freshly appointed Head of Digital & Transformation at Southern Cross Care (NSW & ACT), my first few weeks have been nothing short of heart-warming. The enthusiasm and dedication within our community have deeply inspired me, affirming my belief in the profound impact of our mission. It’s a privilege to lead a team that holds a genuine passion for supporting our residents and clients.

I’m equally excited to contribute to the first edition of Caring Matters for 2024 and share a number of updates focused on improving the overall experience for our residents and clients.

A table for all: Refining our catering approach.

As part of our commitment to continual service refinement, we're taking meaningful steps to enhance the dining experience for our residents. This evolution of the dining experience is being shaped by dialogue with our Consumer Advisory Bodies. This collaborative approach ensures the changes we implement are deeply attuned to the preferences and comforts of those who call Southern Cross Care home. It’s less about innovation, more about attention to the little things that make mealtime a daily highlight. We look forward to sharing more about this dining evolution in the coming months.

Every step counts: The London Marathon challenge.

Our Healthy Ageing strategy comes alive in the vibrant steps of the London Marathon challenge. By joining forces with our residents and clients, we are making strides in promoting a comprehensive approach to wellness that goes beyond physical activity, fostering resilience, camaraderie, and a shared sense of achievement.

This event is not just about the race; it's about embodying a lifestyle that upholds our values of health, unity, and perseverance. It’s been encouraging to see the participation from our team and hear the countless stories about our resident participation.

As we hit the halfway mark, I invite you to participate, support, and contribute ideas, as we celebrate each milestone together and inspire each other with stories of strength and community.

A sincere thank you.

I cannot express enough how much your enthusiasm has meant to me. As I step into this role, I'm genuinely enthusiastic about the opportunity to collaborate with each of you - to embark on visits to all our locations, to hear your voices, and to come together in our shared commitment to delivering exceptional care and fostering deep connections.

As we move forward, I am confident that our initiatives will enrich the lives of our residents and clients, and that together, we will continue to build on the exceptional standards Southern Cross Care is known for.

Thank you for allowing me to be part of your community.

Many thanks,

Stephanie Petkovski
